GARY BRANDT.....is a popular folklorist, singer and songwriter in his beloved state of Michigan.
A retired educator and coach, Gary has shifted to full time performing.
He has composed songs and performances for such venues as TV 2 Detroit, National Historic Oregon Trail Interpretive Center, Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, Chrysler Omni Arts, and his multi-media program, "Land To The West"...which has over 300 performances across the country.
Gary's original song, "Somewhere In Montana" has been feataured in western poetry publications.
His new songs for 2011 include...."Singing The Good Old Songs Again", the theme song for the show. Other songs include "The Open Road" and "I Sang My Songs In California"....that he wrote with his good friend and former New Christy Minstrel member, Art Podell.
Gary carries on the tradition of folk music with a 12 string guitar, a good song, a humorous story and a voice that reflects the style of.... American Folk Music.
